Man arrested on rape charge

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested Ajay Yadav, son of B N Yadav of Garhani village, and forwarded him to jail on 2017, March 27, for allegedly outraging the modesty of a woman, a mother of two children, at village Garhani under Chapokhari police station. A named FIR was lodged with Woman Police Sstation in this connection on the statement of the woman.

SHO, Woman Police station, Poonam Kumari said that the survivor lived with her husband and two children and on March 26 night she was sleeping in a separate room with her children as her husband had broken his leg and was sleeping in another room when Ajay Yadav entered her room and outraged her modesty. When she raised an alarm he escaped.

The SHO, Woman Police Station, said that the accused beat up and injured her with traditional weapon when she was on way to police station to lodge complaint. Later, the injured woman was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital and a named FIR was lodged with Charpokhari police station but the Charpokhari police transferred the case to Woman Police Station.
