Man shot dead on NH 77 in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi: Krishna Kumar Jha, 30, a native of village Manikchowk under Runnisaidpur police station in Sitamarhi district, was shot dead on August 23, 2017, near village Premnagar on NH 77 when he was going to Sitamarhi on his motorbike.

An SUV overtook Krishna Kumar Jha’s bike and six assailants surrounded him and fired on him twice. Angry villagers blocked the NH77 for several hours after the incident. It may be mentioned here that Krishna’s father Ram Kumar Jha was hit by an SUV a few years back under mysterious circumstances that resulted in his death.
Sitamarhi SP Hari Prasath S said that miscreants would be arrested soon. Raids are being conducted and search is on, the SP added.
