Sitamarhi: Principal Secretary, Bihar State Human Rights Commission (BHRC), Vandana Kini, on August 27, 2017, evening highlighted several government schemes aimed at the uplift of poor and downtrodden. She was speaking after inaugurating the installation ceremony of Lions club of Patna Virangna at hotel Clarks Inn, Patliputra.

She said that the for the betterment of society self help goups, NGOs and other social organizations like Lions club will have to come forward. The 322 E District governor Lion Veena Gupta stressed on undertaking welfare programmes.

Twelve club members were nominated and installed as office bearers for the year 2017-18. They included Dr Arunlata Sharma, president, Dr Nisha Singh, secretary, and Dr Sachi Gunjan, Treasurer.
