Kaimur police foil murder bid, one held

Bhabhua: Kaimur police, on a tip off,  conducted raid at village Chandesh under Bhabhua police station and arrested Awadhesh Paswan in the wee hour on Sunday from his house for hatching a conspiracy to kill Sanjay Paswan, husband of Nuaw pramukh Baby Devi of Kota village in Rohtas district. Police also seized a countrymade pistol and seven live cartridges from his possession.

Kaimur SP Harpreet Kaur said that Rohtas and Buxar police had arrested a veteran criminal Santosh Paswan, who was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, of Mahdah village in Buxar district on September 1, 2016, from Dinara in Kaimur district. On his revelation, Kimur police arrested Awadhesh Paswan from Chandesh.

The SP said that Awadhesh Paswan had some land dispute with Sanjay Paswan and so he had planned to eliminate him with the help of Santosh Paswan but the conspiracy came to light and police foiled their plan on time. The SP further said that Santosh Paswan was a terror in Kaimur, Rohtas and Buxar district and dozens of cases loot, murder, kidnapping and dacoity were pending in Buxar district against him.
