Vice Chancellor (VC), VKSU, Leela Chand Sah said that classes in colleges have started and 75% attendance of the students is mandatory for appearing at the university examinations. He directed the college administrations to send letters to the guardians of those students who do not attend their classes at least 15 days in a row and if they do not mend their ways, remove their names from the college register. He also directed them to organize guardians-teachers meet on regular basis besides special lectures. He said that the college administrations should provide laboratory and library facilities to the students to motivate them to attend their classes.

The students said they were willing to attend classes but the teachers seldom come or engage classes. They alleged that at the time of admission the teachers had told them not to come to colleges as no class would be held.
