Bagaha: In two separate raids carried out by Bagaha police and Chiutaha forest staff, five wood smugglers including Pramod Biswas, Paritosh Chandra Biswas, Raju Thapa and Mohan Ram of New Colony, Valmikinagar, were arrested by police led by Valmikinagar police station SHO Golden Kumar on Sunday. They were evading arrest for last several months. Bechu Oraon of village Bhitaha under Chiutaha forests range was arrested with three logs of Sal tree from Kosil sector no.45 by forest staff of Chiutaha range the same day. All the accused were forwarded to Bagaha Jail, sources said.
