Patna: Suspended JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi, mother of Rocky Yadav who had allegedly gunned down a student Aditya Sachdeva on saturday night at Bodh Gaya,130 km from state capital Patna was declared an absconder by a Gaya court on Friday. Police went to her house and pasted the court order declaring her absconder on it . Earlier, her house was sealed by the district police on Thursday.
Manrama Devi’s husband,Bindi Yadav,former chairman of Gaya zilla panchayat, is in jail alongwith Rocky Yadav. She has moved an anticipatory bail petition in Gaya district and sessions Judge court. Her petition will be heard on May 16.
Gaya District magistrate K Ravi on Friday terminated the arms licences issued in the name of Manorama and her husband. There were three arms licencees in the name of the legislator and one in the name of her husband.
Police raided houses of her relatives at dfferent places in Gaya and Nawada to arrest her as she is wanted in a case registered by Excise department under the Bihar Excise Act as six bottles of liquor were found from her house on Tuesday during a raid. Her security guards have been withdrawn.
A lage number of persons visited the house of Sachdeva on Friday. Union food and consumer affairs minister Ram Vilas Paswan will meet his parents on Saturday.So far, no leader from the Mahagathbandhan has met the bereaved family.
