Saharsa: The Principal Secretary, Urban development and Housing department (UDHD), on Tuesday informed Patna high court that a five-member committee headed DM, Saharsa, will probe into the alleged irregularities in appointments made by Saharsa Nagar Parishad since 1999. The principal Secretary, UDHD, will submit the report of the five-member committee before Patna high court on August 24, 2016.

The court was hearing a PIL filed by social worker and Deputy Chairperson, Saharsa, Nagar Parishad, Sanjay Kumar Singh, alleging irregularities in appointments made by the prishad.

Giving this information on phone, Singh  said that probe would expose those responsible for making these appointments. He said against 81 sanctioned posts, 340 employees are working in Saharsa Nagar Parishad. They were initially appointed on contract but subsequently their services were regularised, he claimed.
