Civil Surgeon inspects Munger Sadar hospital, 6 doctors issued warning

Munger : Half a dozen medical officers of Munger sadar hospital were found joining duty late on Tuesday when Civil Surgeon Dr Shreenath made a surprise check of the attendance of the medical officers and para medical staff. The inpection was made on the directive of Munger DM Udaya Kumar Singh who had received complaints about the mismanagement of the sadar hospital from different persons including the local RJD MLA Vijay Kumar Vijay.

The Civil surgeon said the doctors reporting late on duty have been asked to be punctual in future otherwise action would be taken against them. The emergency ward of the sadar hospital lacks necessary facilities which were assured at the time of its inauguration. Patients feel restless as the AC intalled in the ward has become non- functional. There is no arrangement even for water. But, deputy superintendent of the sadar hospital Dr Rakesh Kumar Sinha said that the AC did not function due to low voltage of the power supply. Interestingly, the ACs in adoining quarters and offices functional, said owner of a medicalk shop located on the gate of the hospital. Vijay Kumar Vijay, MLA, said that there is none to monitor the working of the sadar hospital at any level.
