Ara : Block Supply Officer (BSO), Bihia, on August 12, 2017, lodged a named FIR with Bihia police station in Bhojpur district against a Public Distribution System (PDS) dealer for selling rice in the black market and a purchaser of such rice.
On the direction of the SDM, Assistant District Supply Officer Bijay Kumar Rajak and Bihia Block Supply Officer Raman Bahadur Singh conducted raid at PDS shop of Laxman Prasad Singh and found grains meant for distribution among the people missing and the register was also not up to date. It was found that the PDS shop owner had received grains for the months July and August within 11 days but distributed the same for one only month saying it was for the month of June while the grains of a month was sold to Manjee Yadav of village Budhnaveer under Bihia police station. He had not earlier distributed quota for June though he had received it.
