FIR lodged against man for demanding Rs 1 lakh from Sarpanch

Sasaram : On the direction of the Sasaram Civil Court, a named FIR was lodged with  Dalmianagar police station in Rohtas district against one Raj Kishore Singh of village Singhaul on May 9, 2017, for demanding a rangdari ( extortion) of Rs one lakh from Pramod Kumar Singh of Subhashnagar locality.

Police said that Raj Kishore Singh along with his associate came to Pramod Kumar Singh, Akodhigola Sarpanch and president, Sarpanch Sangh, a week ago and demanded a rangdari of Rs one lakh from him with a threat of dire consequences if he failed to pay the amount to him. Police had earlier refused to lodge an FIR in this connection hence Pramod Kumar Singh had moved the court.
