Ara: A named FIR was lodged with Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district on Tuesday against former Deputy PM and top BJP leader L K Advani and Bihar Nitish Kumar under various sections of the IPC following order from Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) B D Rai. The Bhojpur SP confirmed the lodging of FIR against the leaders.

Satyvrata, an advocate, Ara Civil Court, had filed a complaint case in the court of the CJM on November 3, 2010,against Adwani and Nitish Kumar alleging that the both the leaders, during public meetings at Begusarai and Hazipur on October 25, 2010, had spread hatred, terror in the society by saying kidnapping industry was flourishing in Bihar and youths were being given ‘Kidnapping Job’ during RJD regime.

After hearing, the CJM had directed the Bhojpur SP to institute an FIR against Adwani and Nitish with Ara Town Police Station but the SP and even the SHO Ara Town police station were reluctant to abide by the order of the court and returned the complaint to the CJM informing him that filling of FIR did not seem relevant as no place of occurrence was mentioned which is mandatory.

After it, the petitioner moved to the District and Sessions Judge and again the court ordered to lodge an FIR against the Adwani and Nitish but the SHO did not comply with the order. At this the court issued show cause to the SHO Ara Town Police Station and also withheld his salary. Even then, the SHO did not abide by the order of the court. The court serious note of it and said it would write to Patna High Court against the Bhojpur SP and the SHO Ara Town Police Station for contempt and also ordered for lodging an FIR against the SHO Ara Town Police station S K Sahi for non-compliance of court order. After this, the SHO Ara Town Police Station lodged an FIR against Adwani and Nitish Kumar.
