Buxar: Additional District and Sessions Judge I, Buxar, R S Pandey convicted three persons for outraging modesty of a dalit woman and awarded two of them rigorous life imprisonment and another 10 year RI on Tuesday. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 on each of them.
Three persons: Jakha Yadav, Kisan Yadav and Chilar Yadav had gangraped a dalit woman at village Manhatha under Navanagar police station on January 21, 2011. A named FIR had been lodged with Navanagar police station on the statement of the woman. After hearing both the parties, the court held all the accused responsible for gang rape of the woman. The court awarded Jakha Yadav and Kisan Yadav rigorous life imprisonment and Chilar Yadav 10 year rigorous imprisonment.
