Sitamarhi: A female vegetable vendor Bhikhan Devi, 65, a resident of village Amba Khurd under Majorganj police station in Sitamarhi district was stabbed to death by unidentified persons near Mohni Mandal halt in the district on September 25, 2017.
Bhikhan Devi was going to catch a train for Samastipur to procure vegetables when she was stabbed to dath. Police pressed into service dog squad to catch the unidentified killers. On a lead given by the dog squad, her grandson Ram Babu Mahto was arrested on September 26. Sitamarhi SP Hari Prasath S has said that further investigation was underway and remaining assailants would be arrested soon.
