Buxar : Rekha Devi, wife of Pradip Rai, committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house at village Shaligrampur under Buxar Muffassil Police station in Buxar district on August 29, 2018, evening. She is survived by her one year old daughter and husband. Later, police brought the body to Sadar Hospital, Buxar, for post-mortem.
SHO, Buxar Muffassil police station, said that Rekha Devi of Balia in Uttar Pradesh was married to Pradip Rai of village Shaligrampur under Buxar Muffassil police station in Buxar district two years ago. He said that Rekha Devi was ailing for thelast three months and her husband Pradip Rai continued her treatment despite financial crunch. The SHO further said that fed up with poverty, she committed suicide.
