Bokaro:  About 15 rowdy tuskers crushed a 25 year old  differently abled woman Chanchal  Kumari alias Gudia (who could not walk properly) to death crushing her under their feet  at Jaitaiytand ( Pachmo village) under Gomia block in foothills of Jhumra, about 85  km away from Bokaro steel city, around Thursday midnight.

The elephants are presently stationed  between deep forest zone of Pachmo and Kathara (Gomia). Divisional Forest officer (DFO), Bokaro, P R Naidu along with 8 foresters and 10 trained youths of Gomia are trying to send back the elephants into safe zone using dragon lights , crackers and beating drums. The elephants  even damaged five houses of poor farmers of Jaitayatand , who escaped from their  muddy houses, besides damaging standing kharif crops on five acres of land.
