Drug peddler arrested at Ara with Heroin

Ara : Bhojpuri police, on a tip off, conducted raid in Gausganj locality under Town police station, Ara, and seized 7 gram of Heroin and also arrested drug peddler Avinash Paswan, son of Pradeep Paswan of Gausganj locality, on September 1, 2017. Later, Avinash Paswan was forwarded to jail.

SHO, Town police station, J P Singh said that he got information that someone had come with Heroin in Gausganj locality and immediately conducted raids in the area and arrested Avinash Paswan. Police also seized 7gm of Heroin from his possession. He had been in jail for drug peddling earlier and came out about three months ago on bail. Avinash is brother of Ashish Paswan who is in Ara jail. The SHO said that Gangi and adjoining areas have become a hub of Heroin smugglers and police had conducted several raids in the areas. The SHO stated that police had arrested three members of a family of drug peddlers in the last two months.
