Muzaffarpur:  Muzaffarpur district continues to reel under the double attack of Dengue and Chikengunya. So far 47 cases of Dengue and 11 of Chikengunya have been detected the district.

Mushhari block of the district alone accounts for 21 cases of Dengue and five of Chikengunya and has been marked as high risk zone among the 16 blocks of the district. Mushhari block had also reported several cases of Encephalitis and Kala-azar but the district administration is yet to start fogging under the block despite repeated directive of DM Dharmendra Singh. Civil Surgeon Dr Lalita Singh also appears helpless. District Malaria officer refuses to speak on the matter.
