Cycle Rally taken out at Ara on World Red Cross Day

Ara : A programme was organized at the Red Cross Building, Ara, on May 8, 2017, to mark the World Red Cross Day. Hundreds of boys and girls of different schools took out a cycle rally that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at the Red Cross Building. Bhojpur DM Birendra Prasad Yadav flagged off the cycle rally.

Later a meeting was organized to mark the day. Bhojpur DM cum president, Red Cross Society, Ara chapter, Birendra Prasad Yadav, inaugurated the meeting by lighting the candle and also paid floral tribute to the founder of the Red Cross Society Jean Henry Dunant.The DM urged the people to voluntarily donate blood. Dr S K Rungata, T N Thakur, Bhashkar, Bibha Kumari, Kamlanand Singh and Dr Bikas also addressed the function.
