Ara : A bride at village Neknam Tola under Barahara police station in Bhojpur district refused to go with her husband on May 9, 2017, after she detected deformity in his hand. The baraat had come from Haldi Chhapra under Maner police station in Patna district to the house of Vakil Rai at Neknam Tola on May 9.
All the rituals of marriage were solemnized with pomp and the bride’s family was preparing for her ‘bidai’ but in the meantime, she noticed deformity in one of the hands of her husband. She immediately refused to go with him. Some villagers tried to admonish the girl but in vain and finally the baraati had to return without the bride.
