Gopalganj: A written complaint has been lodged with Town police station, Gopalganj,  against a  doctor and four members of his family for their alleged involvement in setting ablaze a tenant at their house at Rajendra Nagar locality  Ravi Ranjan Singh. The deceased’s wife Bittu Devi has lodged the complaint in this regard.

Ravi Ranjan Kumar Singh, a native of village Kolhua under Manjha police station, was residing at the house of Dr J P Singh at Rajendra Nagar locality. According to the neighbours, the doctor and his family members were allegdly pressurizing Ravi to vacate the rented house. They said that as Ravi was vacating the house on August 20, the doctor and his family members poured kerosene oil on him and set him ablaze escaped from there. The neighbours then informed Ravi’s family members about the incident.

An injured Ravi was admitted to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital. The doctors attending him referred him to Gorakhpur Medical College in Uttar Pradesh where he succumbed to his injuries.
