Buxar : A girl refused to marry a black complexion bridegroom at Ramrekha ghat in Buxar district on May 10, 2017, evening and so the baraatis had to return disappointed.
Kalendra Chauhar of village Itadhi had settled the marriage of his son Anjani Chauhar with a girl of village Kaithar under Dhansoi police station. Both the family fixed Ramrekha ghat venue for the marriage.
On May 10 evening Kalendra Chauhan brought baraat at Ramrekha ghat and rituals started there. But as soon as the girl saw the bridegroom, she refused to marry him saying that she would not like to get married toblack complexion person. People tried to persuade her but she did not change her stand hence the baraatis had to return empty handed.
