Buxar : The three Astdhatu idols of lord Ram, Laxman and goddess Janaki, which were stolen about a month back, were found thrown on the outskirt of village Chilhari under New Bhojpur police outpost under Dumraon sub-division in Buxar district by thieves on May 10, 2017, night, under mounting police pressure.
The villagers saw them on May 11 morning and informed police, who seized the idols and brought them over to New Bhojpur police outpost. The priest of the temple Chintamani Pandey recognized the idols.
SHO, New Bhojpur police outpost, Kunal Chandra said that some miscreants had stolen three idols of lord Ram, Laxman and goddess Janaki from a temple at village Chilhari about a month ago and police had been conducting raids regularly to recover them idols and arrest the miscreants.
