2 boys drown to death in ditch at Bagaha village

Bagaha: Two boys drowned to death in a water filled ditch at village Dihi Barawa under Dhanaha Police Station in Bagaha Police District on July 2, 2018, evening. Their bodies were recovered on July 3 morning. The deceased were identified as Pradip Patel, 8, son of Nagina Patel, and Akash Patel, 10, son of  Pheku Patel, of village Dihi Barawa..

Sources said Nagina Patel and Pheku Patel had gone  to transplant paddy seedlings in the field of Prabhans Patel of the village on July 2 and without their knowledge their children  Pradip Patel and Akash Patel had followed them and started taking bath in a ditch and drowned. When both the labourers returned to their houses, they started searching for their sons but failed to locate them. Their bodies were recovered after some villagers, who had gone the field to attend the call of nature on July 3 morning, saw the bodies floating in the ditch.

SHO, Dhanaha Police Station, Rajesh kumar said the bodies were handed over to the parents after  Panchnama on July 3.  A case of unnatural death case has been registered by the police station,the SHO said.
