Patna: In what is being seen as the side affect of former Siwan RJD MP Mohd. Shahabuddin’s release on bail recently, the Public Prosecutor (PP), Patna, Gajendra Prasad on Tuesday filed petition in the court of District and Sessions Judge, pleading for cancellation of bail to independent MLA from Mokama Anant Singh.The next date of hearing of the case is September 21.
It may be mentioned here that much hue and cry was made after release of former RJD MP on bail by Patna High Court in connection with infamous Acid Attack case in Siwan. A local court in Siwan had awarded life imprisonment to Shahabuddin in this case. The opposition leaders including that of BJP had demanded cancellation of bail of the former MP. They had also maintained that if Anant Singh can be booked under CCA why not Siwan strongman. The state government and father of three brothers Chandrakeshwar Prasad alias Chanda Babu had filed separate petitions in the Supreme Court demanding cancellation of bail of Shahabuddin. The court has put the case for hearing on Tuesday.
