Patna:  Bihar cabinet on Tuesday sanctioned appointment of 71 teaching staff in different faculties in Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) here. The cabinet also sanctioned Rs 54 crore for payment of salaries to the teaching and non- teaching staff of minority secondary schools and Rs 15 crore for the Madrasas. Bottling plants and foreign liquor manufacturers in Bihar will get 100% tax exemption on export of their items.
According to another decision, under the Amrut Atal  Urban Renewal scheme for Begusarai, Biharsharif  and Darbhanga civic bodies, Rs 229 crore was sanctioned for water supply scheme.Water tax for industrial, commercial and municipal users was increased.
For doorstep delivery project, Rs 1,532 crore sanctioned. Financial assistance to the families of survivors of world war II was raised from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 per month. The cabinet approved a proposal to install water supply connections under the `Har Ghar, Nal yojana’ on non-government land only, one of the seven resolves of  CM Nitish Kumar.

The  Cabinet approved a proposal of law department to re-instate Pramod Kumar Singh, the then additional district and sessions judge, Bhojpur,  who was earlier punished with compulsory retirement.
CCA against Anant: Meanwhile, the home department has approved a proposal of Patna district administration to invoke Crime Control Act (CCA) against the  suspended JD(U) MLA Anant Singh for one year.
