Bhojpur police recover missing girl from Panipat

Ara : Bhojpur police, with the help of their Haryana counterpart, recovered a girl from Panipat after three years and brought her over to Barhara on August 23, 2018. Police brought her to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before an Ara court to get her statement recorded under section 164 CrPC on August 24.

The SHO, Barhara police station, said that a girl had escaped from her house at village Farana under Barhara police station and her father had lodged a named FIR with the police station on January 27, 2015, against one Govinda and others of the same village charging them with kidnapping of his daughter.

The girl revealed before police that no one had kidnapped her and she had left her house as her parents always thrashed her. She reached Panipat and worked as a domestic help there. In the meantime, she came in contact with Akhilesh Kumar of Hardoi district in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and fell in love with him. Later, she tied knot with him at a temple in UP and has a 18 month old daughter.
