Ara : Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey, the BJP MP from Buxar, reached Ara, headquarters of Bhojpur district, on ‘Atal Rath’ along with the ashes of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on August 23, 2018.
Local MP and minister for state (independent charge) renewal energy, R K Singh, Braj Kishor Bind, Gopal Narayan Singh, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Bhojpur district BJP president Mithlesh Kushwaha, and hundreds of others cutting cross the party line received the Atal rath at Koelwar and paid showered flowers on it. The ashes of the former Prime Minster will go to Buxar after visiting Gadhani, Charpokhari, Piro, Bikramganj, Natwar, Dinara, Sasaram, Mohania, Ramgarh, Chausa, Rajpur. At Buxar, the ashes will be immersed into river Ganga on August 25, 2018.
As the Atal Rath reached Koelwar, people became emotional and raised slogans ‘Atal Bihair Amar Rahe’ that rent the air. The Atal rath reached Ara in the afternoon from Koelwar with hundreds of men, women, children following it while a large number of others were seen standing on either side of the road showering flowers on their revered leader. From Ara the Atal Rath proceeded towards Gadhani.
