Ara :Bhojpur police recovered body of a man from the Ganga ghat near Mathia at Barhara under Barahara police station in the wee hour on September 22, 2017, and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. A medical board was formed for the purpose but the doctors could not perform post-mortem as the body was in a highly decomposed state. They referred the matter to the Forensic Science Laboratory. The deceased was later identified as Amrendra Kumar Singh alias Munna Kumar, 28, son of Kamta Singh of Dularpur under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district.

Quoting an FIR field by Lalita Devi, wife of the deceased, SHO Ayar police station, Awadh Kishore, said that Vikas, Sanjit alias Budha Singh of Barnav village, Ramesh Kumar and Pappu Pal of Dularpur, all four close friends of the deceased, took Munna Kumar to a poultry form at the village in the evening on September 11, 2017, and he was missing since then. The SHO said that Lalita Devi had filed a named FIR with Ayar police station against her husband’s four friends but none of them has so far been arrested. The family members identified the body with Amrendra’s belt and chain.

ASP, Daya Shankar Singh, said that police would go for the DNA test of the body to confirm his identity and added that all the four named accused would be arrested at the earliest.
