Ara : Some motorcycle borne armed persons shot dead Amarjeet Chaudhary, 17, son of Jitendra Chaudhary of village Belaur under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district on September 21, 2017, night. The miscreants pumped six bullets into the body of Amarjeet Chaudharyillage killing on the spot near mixing plant of a Road Construction Agency on Belaur-Bengala-Jamuaw Road under Udwantnagar police station. Police recovered six blank cartridges of 9mm caliber from the spot and brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Udwantnagar police station, Rajeev Kumar, said that Amarjeet Chaudhary, a student of class X, was going to Jamuaw on the motorcycle of his brother-in-law (Jija) Ram Kumar Chaudhary of village Badiha and when he reached near the mixing plant of Road Construction Agency on the Belaur-Bengala-Jamuaw road, some motorcycle borne armed miscreants fired indiscriminately. The SHO said that prime facie the incident apears to be fallout of a long standing conflict between the gangs of Ara jail inmate Butan Chaudhary and Beur jail inmate Ranjeet Chaudhary. On July 7, 2017, some miscreants had dragged Parmatma Rawani, 30, son of Sudeshwar Rawani and husband of Rajani Devi, ward member of Poswa panchayat, out of a bus near Belaur Bangala under Udwantnagar police station and killed him. Parmatma Rawani was a close relative of Butan Chaudhary.
Police said that over a dozen persons have so far been killed in the area so far in the war between the gangs of Butan Chaudhary and Ranjeet Chaudhary so far. Though, both of them are in jail, but their goons are still quite active in the area.
