Ara : Councillor, Ward No 1,Waliganj, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), Janaki Devi, has threatened self-immolation in front of CM Nitish Kumar if construction of drain from Waliganj to Dharahara is not completed at the earliest under the Chief Minister’s seven resolution.
Janaki Devi, in a communication to Mayor, Town Commissioner and Chief Town Engineer, AMC, and said that the construction work of the drain from Waliganj to Dharahara was going on for the last two years but it has been stopped suddenly. When she inquired about it, no one gave her a clear answer. She has sought to know from the AMC administration whether the construction of the drain was included in the CM’s seven resolution. She said that the residents of the area are quite agitated over the stoppage of the construction of the drain.
