Ara : A no confidence motion against Ara Municipal Corporation Mayor Ruby Tiwari and Deputy Mayor Pushpa Kushwaha was defeated by six votes on July 31, 2021. Both of them would now retain their respective pot for one year.
The no confidence motion was moved against them a day after they completed two years in office.The no-confidence motion was moved against the Mayor and Deputy Mayor July 24, 2021.
The discussion on the motion started in a tense atmosphere. The no confidence motion was defeated by six votes with 24 votes cast against the no-confidence motion while 18 votes were cast in favour of the motion.
