Sitamarhi dist to be on religious tourist map: DM

Sitamarhi : The Ramayan circuit will be soon become operational connecting Janki temple, Panthpakar village temple, Damami Math and other religious places in Sitamarhi and Sheohar districts, according to Sitamarhi MP Ram Kumar Sharma. He appealed the people to extend support to ` Swachh Sitamarhi, Swasth Sitamarhi’ mission.  He was addressing a big gathering at Dumra stadium field after the inaugural function of 45th foundation day of Sitamarhi district on December 11, 2016.
The district administration had organised a two-day programme to mark the occasion. Cultural programmes were held on  December 11 and 12  evening.

The Sitamarhi DM Rajiv Raushan presented the report card of the district administration and its resolve to implement the `seven  nischay’  of  the chief minister. He said the Belsand sub-division is now open defecation free (ODF). He outlined the merits of total prohibition which had lowered the crime graph. The district will be on the religious tourist map in future, DM Raushan added. Ranju Geeta, Gayatri Devi, Amit Kumar Tunna, Sunil Kumar Kushwaha and Mangita Devi, MLAs, and Sitamarhi SP Hari Prasath S were prominent among those addressing the inaugural function.
