Two chilren of Sitamarhi died due to AES on June 20

Sitamarhi : Two children of Sitamarhi district died due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome ( AES) on June 20, 2019. One child died on way to Darbhanga while another died at a Muzaffarpur hospital.

Rizwan, 3, son of Md. Nizamuddin, a resident of village Mano under Runnisaidpur block died on way to Darbhanga. Some private doctors had referred him to a big ticket hospital there. Nitu Kumari, 4, a resident of village Giddha Phulwaria under Runnisaidpur block diedat a hospital at Muzaffarpur. She too was referred to specialised hospital.
Sitamarhi DM Dr Ranjeet Kumar Singh condole the death of the two children and stressed on creating awareness about AES and medical help. He handed over a cheque of Rs four lakh each to the next of kin of two deceased children as an ex gratia. help.
