Man shot at, seriously injured in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi : Some unidentified criminals shot at and seriously injured Pankaj Kumar Singh, a resident of village Rajpur under Suppi police station in Sitamarhi district having criminal antecedents, on June 8, 2019, night, . The bullets hit Pankaj in chest, abdomen, kidney, legs and hands. Pankaj, who had come out of jail on bail recently, was allegedly shot at by his rivals rival in  a retaliatory action. His fellow villagers say Pankaj is probably a police informer too.
The villagers admitted Pankaj to a private nursing home at Sitamarhi run by a noted surgeon Dr. Barun Kumar. He was operated upon and bullets and pellets were taken out. He is recovering in the ICU but critical. During the course of Pankaj’s operation a journalist, a doctor, a social worker, and a  professional donor donated the required matching blood. Police have constituted  an SIT to nab the criminals involved in firing at Pankaj.
