7 die in accidents at different places in Bhojpur during last 24 hrs

Ara : At least 7 persons including a minor boy and two women were killed in separate incidents at different places in Bhojpur district during last 24 hours.

Shatrughan Lal, 30, son of Banarsi Lal of Gulab Chhapra under Barhara police station was killed when his motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding vehicle on October 31, 2018, on Keshavpur – Ara main road. He was coming to Ara on his motorcycle when the incident took place. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem.

A minor boy Shrawan Kumar, son of Bijay Singh of village Khopira under Pawana police station drowned to death in a village pond  while taking a dip on October 31 morning. The villagers fished out the body and informed police. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Shrawan was a student of Class VIII at Khopira Middle School.

Ram Narayan Sah, 65, of Narayanpur village under Jagdishpur police station was knocked down and injured by a speeding three -wheeler when he was returning home from the market on October 30 evening. The villagers admitted him to Rajindra Hospital where the doctors referred him to the Sadar Hospital in view of his precarious condition but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.

As the body reached Narayanpur after post-mortem, the villagers became agitated and blocked  Ara-Mohania NH 30 with the body paralysing movement of vehicles since October 31 morning demanding compensation to the deceased’s family. The blockade was lifted after positive response from police officials.

A sexagenarian Sahendar Rai, son of late Jawala Rai, was crushed to death by  speeding tractor near a canal at village Nadhi under Sahar police station on October 30 evening. The driver escaped with the tractor. The villagers blocked Nasariganj -Sakaddi main road near Nadhi village with the body for about three hours the same day demanding arrest of the tractor driver and compensation to the deceased’s family.

In yet another incident, Vidyawati Devi, 45, wife of late Shiv Ji Chaudhary of Ishwarpura village under Shahpur police station was burnt to death under mysterious circumstances on October 30 night. Later, police brought the body over to the Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

Shobha Devi, wife of Santosh Singh of village Jawahi in Buxar district, fell from a motorcycle and died on the spot near Maharja village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on October 30 evening when she was coming to her parents’ house at Maharja to see her brother who was seriously injured two days ago.

An unidentified sexagenarian was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle near Musahar Toli at Kasap under Udwantnagar police station on October 31 morning. Plice brought the body over to the Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
