Teacher arrested on embezzlement charge

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested a former Headmaster Incharge of  Primary School, Neema Musahar Toli, Vishwanath Ram, son of Shyam Sundar Prasad, and sent him to jail on May 23, 2018,  in connection with alleged embezzlement of government fund. Police arrested him from village Bangauti under Chauri police station.

SHO, Chauri police station, said that Vishwanath Ram was appointed as ‘Shiksha Mitra’ at Primary School, Neema Musahar Toli, and was made incharge Headmaster as the school had no senior teacher. The education department had released Rs 9 lakh for the construction of school building five year ago. Vishwanath Ram, the incharge Headmaster, withdrew the amount but did not construct the building and allegedly spent it on the marriage of his daughter. An FIR was lodged against him in this connection but soon he was shifted from there.
