Vishanpur panchayat Mukhia arrested

Sitamarhi : Police on April 7, 21o8, arrested Mukhia, Vishanpur Panchayat in Sitamarhi district, Kaushal Rai, in a case of alleged financial embezzlement under ‘Har Ghar Nal Jal Yojana’. He was nabbed from the office of his brick kiln at village Vishanpur.
Block Development Officer (BDO), Dumra in Sitamarhi district, Sanjay Sinha had recently lodged an FIR in connection with financial irregularities and embezzlement to the tune of Rs 17.83 lakh under ‘Har Ghar Nal Jal Yojan’ against Mukhia Rai, Ward Member Sanjha Devi, and Ward Secretary Ram Yash Rai.

Mukhia Rai allegedly transferred the major amount of the scheme into the account his brick kiln factory. The fund was allocated to village Rampur-Bakhari under Vishanpur Panchayat.
