Altogether 60,980 students including 29,580 girl students are taking examination at 36 centres in Bhojpur district. District Magistrate Sanjeev Kumar is the Chief Examination Controller. Of the 36 centres, 27 centres are located at Ara, 4 at Piro and 5 at Jagdishpur.
DM Sanjeev Kumar had ordered to conduct fair examination and deputed magistrates and police force at all the 36 examination centres in Bhojpur district and also ordered not to depute any non-teaching and casual staff as the invigilators. But defying the orders, examinees were allegedly allowed to take chits and even books inside the examination halls at some centres.
Whenever a flying squad or a magistrate visited an examination centre, the students were forewarned by the CS and the invigilators. As the officials returned, unfair means resumed. Three students were seen sitting on a single bench at some centres making a mockery of the examination and the invigilators were found chatting with their colleagues outside the examination halls. Guardians can be seen in large number at the gate of examination centres particularly where the girl examinees are taking examination.
District Education Officer (DEO) Avanindra Kumar Sinha said that stern action will be taken if any examinee is found involve in corrupt practices at the examination halls.
