Ara : One of the main accused in the bomb blast case at Harkhen Kumar Jain Dharmshala, Ara, on February 15, 2018, Madan Paswan alias Vicky Paswan alias Brihaspati Paswan, son of  Mangal Paswan of Telipada, Kolkata, West Bengal, succumbed to his injuries at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on February 19 during treatment there.

A bomb had exploded at Harkhen Kumar Jain Dharmshala on February 15 in which two criminals were injured and were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors there referred one of them Madan Paswan alias Vicky Paswan alias Brihaspati Paswan to PMCH in view ofhis critical condition.

Five criminals from Telipada, Kolkata, had checked in at Harkhen Kumar Jain Dharmshala around 6.30 am on February 15, 2018. They were allotted Room No 10. Jitendra Kumar Singh, said to be a resident of village Ganghar under Ara Muffassil police station, had  submitted his Aadhar Card with address of West Bengal for allocation of room at the Dharmshala. Immedialty,  a bomb exploded in the room in which Vicky Paswan was seriously injured. His right leg and index figure of his hand were blown up in the explosion.

In the melee, all the four associates of Vicky Paswan including Jitendra Kumar Singh escaped from the Dharmshala but police arrested Jitendra from Machhua Toli area. Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that police will interrogate Jitendra Kumar Singh to know the details of their mission. At present, Jitendra is being treated at Ara Sadar Hospital.
