Miscreants draw Rs 19,000 from ATM from villager’s account, one held

Sitamarhi:  Some miscreants drew Rs 19,000 from an ATM kiok from the account of a resident of village Koeli under Bathnaha Block in Sitamarhi district Md. Imteyaz in a fraudulent manner on October 28, 2017.

Md Imteyaz, a resident of village Koeli under Bathanaha block in Sitamarhi district, unsuccessfully tried to draw cash from an SBI ATM near Azad Chowk. Some unidentified persons posing as customers had helped him in the process. When he was about to proceed to some other ATM, he received a message on his mobile phone regarding drawal of cash from his account.

Md Imteyaz rushed back to Azad Chowk ATM where he saw the same persons were counting money. He started crying. The local people chased the miscreants and succeeded in catching one of them identified as Dharm Nath Sahni, a native of village Madhuban under Kanti police station in Muzaffarpur district. His two accomplices though managed to escape. Sahni was handed over to Sitamarhi town police after thrashing along with the drwan cash and Md. Imteyaz’s card.
