Man thrashed to death at Saharsa village

Saharsa : Suresh Ram, 40, a resident of village Hathmandal Ram Tola under Banma police outpost of Salkhua police station in Saharsa district, who was thrashed by his neighbour Jagdish Ram alias Patru Ram and others  in a land dispute on August 31, 2017, late evening, succumbed to his injuries on September 1. Mira Devi, widow of Suresh Ram, has lodged an FIR with Salkhua police station against four named accused. But, police are yet to arrest any of the four named accused.

Mira Devi, in her statement to police, alleged that Jagdish Ram and others started abusing her husband on August 31 late evening. Later, Jagdish Ram, Paria Devi, Chunchun Devi and Sunita Devi started assaulting Suresh Ram seriously injuring him, Mira Devi alleged. Soon villagers gathered there and pacified both the sides. An injured Suresh Ram went to sleep without undergoing treatment.On September 1, when his condition deteriorated, one Nago Pandit was called to treat him but his condition did not improve and he died soon. Police are investigating into the incident.
