Ara : Bhojpur police seized two Pick-up vans carrying 111 bags of rice meant for the Midday Meal (MDM) scheme near Gidha godown under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district on August 29, 2017, and arrested two persons. A named FIR was lodged with Koelwar police station on the statement of DPO cum MDM in-charge, Koelwar, Ramadhar Sharma against five persons in this connection..

SHO, Koelwar police station, Pankaj Kumar Saini said that on the direction of Bhojpur SP Awkash Kumar, he conducted raid on the State Food Corporation campus adjacent to the Koelwar block office on August 29. Seeing the police, the drivers of the Pick up van sped up the vehicle but the police chased and intercepted them near the godown of Ashok Singh at Gidha and seized them. The Pick-Up van was loaded with 111 bags of rice meant for the MDM. Police also arrested a driver Pawan Yadav of village Balua and a labourer Parasuram Paswan of Dhanupura.
