Aurangabad: The police teams constituted by Aurangabad SP Babu Ram seized huge quantity of IMFL and countrymade liquor from different areas in the district. Four persons have been arrested in this connection.
In the first incident, a Town police station team recovered 500 sachets of countrymade liquor from separate vehicles sneaking inside Aurangabad from neighbouring Jharkhand. In another incident, a team of Madnpur police conducted raids and arrested two persons with liquor. Police sources said that 96 bottles of IMFL and 117 litre countrymade liquor were recovered from the possession of arrested persons.
Aurangabad SP Babu Ram said that the district police are all set to check illegal smuggling of liquor from neighbouring areas into the district. He said that raids were on to arrest the brain behind all these nefarious activities. The SP said the SHOs across the district have been directed to carry out regular raids to ensure implementation of prohibition.
