Aurangabad: Mahavir Choudhary, 55, was stragulated to death by some criminals at village Gordiha under Kutumba Police Station in Aurangabad district late Monday night.

Kutumba Police Station sources said Mahavir Choudhary was sleeping at home but later in midnight he disappeared from his room under mysterious condition. His family members started searching for him but failed to locate him. Later, villagers found his body on the outskirts of the village. Family sources said that he had no enmity with anyone.

Police, on getting information, rushed to spot and talked to the family members of the deceased and villagers. Police visited the place where body was thrown. Kutumba police station SHO Subhash Kumar Roy said that the body was sent to sadar hospital for post-mortem. When asked about motive behind the killing, the SHO  he said it was difficult to say anything without the post-mortem report. Police are, however, looking into the matter from different angles.

Body of woman found: In another incident, body of an unidentified woman was recovered by Jamhore Police Station from village Aminowla in the district. Police sources said that prima facie it seems that the woman  suffocated to death but things would be clear after the post-mortem report comes.
