332 bottles of IMFL seized, 8 boozrs held in W Champaran

Bagaha  : Police arrested eight boozers in separate raids at different places under Semara, Pathakauli, Bhitaha and Dhanaha police stations in West Champaran district on May 16, 2017,  night and seized 332 bottles of IMFL and two motorcycles.

Bagaha police district SP Shankar Jha said that Motilal Oraon of Banjaria, Ramdeo Oraon of Matiaria, and Bablu Singh were arrested by Semara police while Lalbabu Ram and Sheokumar of village Dumawalia, Rajkumar Dom of Naraipur and Nandlal Dom of Khoraparsa were nabbed by Pathakauli police and Bhutan of village Dawanaha was caught by Bhitaha police.

All of them were found drunk and creating nuisance at their respective villages. They were taken to different PHCs for medical examination which confirmed alcohal content in their bloods after which were sent to Bettiah district jail on May 17, SP Jha said. The SP said that Dhanaha police had seized 332 bottles of IMFL and two motorcycles but the smugglers managed to give a slip to cops leaving their bikes and the consignment behind.
