Ara : Three separate FIRs were lodged by Bahoranpur Police Outpost against 52 persons including the outgoing PACS president, Harendra Rai, on December 14, 2019, late evening, for allegedly hurling stones on police force and escaping with four ballet boxes during the PACS election at village Damodarpur in Bhojpur district.
The first FIR was lodged against 30 persons on the statement of police officer Tribhuwan Ram while second and third FIRs were lodged against 11 persons each on the statements of Magistrate, Haidar Ali, and Presiding Officer, Suresh Ram, respectively. After institution of FIRs, police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
SHO, Bahoranpur Police Outpost, said that during PACS election, two groups of aspirants clashed over bogus voting at village Damodarpur village under the police outpost on December 13, 2019, evening. Some of them made the Presiding Officer captive and escaped with four ballot boxes. When police tried to stop them, the miscreants pelted them with stones and also threw kerosene oil on the SHO.
Later, a police team led by ASP (Operations) Nitin Kumar conducted raids at different places and recovered all the four ballot boxes from a bush near Damodarpur Dam. The ASP (Operation) said that police are now trying to identify the miscreants and conducting raids to arrest them.
