297 vehicles engaged in illegal trade of stonechips, sand seized

Patna : Zonal IG, Patna, N H Khan, taking serious note of black-marketing by dealers of stonechips and sand, on August 5, 2018, ordered for conducting a special drive against them in  cities falling on GT Road in Gaya, Aurangabad, Rohtas and Kaimur district. Altogether 297 vehicles engaged in illegal trade of sand and stonechips were seized during the drive and Rs. 13.66 lakh was realised as fine from their owners.

The Zonal IG also directed all SPs to check such vehicles in their respective districts daily. IG Khan also directed all DSPs and SHOs to black-marketing of stonechips and sand. If anybody is found flouting the rules, stern action must be taken against them, the IG told them.
