10 members of inter-state gang of highway robbers arrested

Motihari : East Champaran police on October 9, 2017, arrested 10 members of an inter-state gang of highway robbers including its kingpin Ayush Shetty of Vishakhapatnam with three desi Katta, a pistol, seven live rounds, knife, several mobile phones and syringe from NH 28 under Pipra police station in the district. Police also seized their Bolero. Of the 10 arrested criminals, five belong to Gopalganj and two to Siwan districts while one of them hails from Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

Police were investigating into the loot of a wheat laden truck recently, when they received information that some criminals were planning to commit amajor crime on the national highways. The East Champaran SP immeditely constituted a special team to arrest them.
