Patna : World No 5 Alexander Zverev, 22, Germany, beat World No 75 Nicolas Jarry, 23, Chile, in a three-set thriller in the final on May 25, 2019, late night, to lift the ATP Geneva Open title at Geneva, Switzerland. Top seed Zverev beat Jarry 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 in the final in 2 hr 35 minutes to win the title at the clay court tournament, his first title in 2019 and 11th overall. Jarry had defeated Zverev in the first round of Barcelona Open in April 2019.
Both the players won 1 break point each in the match. They also won 3 games each in a row during the match. Jarry fired 6 Aces in the match to 3 by Zverev. The German committed 8 double faults in the match to 2 by Jarry. Zverev’s winning percentage both on his first and second serve ( 75% 7 69%) was much higher than that of Jarry ( 66% & 62 %).
